History
Damon Petticord is a civil litigator. Damon's objective is to help clients successfully assert claims in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and in court. As he sees it, bringing morally good claims and defending against bad claims is part of his obligation as a good attorney. For Petticord, law is about helping the people he represents. It is about carefully listening to what his clients have to say, realistically evaluating the facts, and helping them achieve good and just outcomes.
Petticord earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Oregon School of Business concurrently with a law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1996. Petticord brings a business oriented perspective to his practice.
Damon Petticord has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1996 and a member of the Washington State Bar since 2002. Damon is a member of the Business Litigation, Consumer Law, and Motor Vehicle sections of The Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves as a court appointed arbitrator for the Oregon Circuit Court for Washington County, Oregon. He has been a delegate for the Oregon State Bar and a member of its pro bono committee. Damon regularly donates his time for consumer rights causes and to help victims of domestic violence in contested restraining order hearings.
